I am heir to a long tradition of fiber art and craft that is unfortunately attached to strictly gendered social roles. I rejected this heritage in my youth as it triggered dysphoria and other negative feelings and memories. I am actively engaged in irreverantly relearning and reclaiming this medium as an act of catharsis and healing.
